Description

The Fontodi Meriggio wine is an exquisite representation of the Colli Toscana Centrale IGT region. This wine is composed mainly of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Trebbiano. Produced in the La Rota vineyard, it has a density of between 4,000 to 6,000 vines per hectare. The pruning and training technique used is Guyot.

Winemaking

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and ageing on lees takes place in stainless steel tanks, terracotta amphorae and oak foudres for a period of 6 months. The average production of this wine is 10,000 bottles.

Taste

Fontodi Meriggio has a light lemon-pale colour. On the nose, the primary aromas of passion fruit, orange, peach, pineapple and apple stand out. On the palate, it is dry, with high acidity, medium alcohol and medium body.
