Description
The orange wine Fonterenza Bianco Le Regazze is made from two main varieties: Vermentino and Malvasia Bianca Toscana. These varieties are grown at altitudes ranging from 320 to 360 metres above sea level, in the vineyards "Fornace" and "la Vigna di Sara". The soil in which these grapes grow is a combination of sand and tuff, which gives the wine unique and distinctive characteristics. The agriculture used in these vineyards is organic, respecting the environment as much as possible and guaranteeing a quality product. The plants have an average age of between 25 and 49 years, and are cultivated with a cordon royat system.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested in the first and second week of September. In the winery, fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, with a maceration of the skins for 30 days. The wine is aged in different foudres, acacia barrels, terracotta amphorae and stainless steel.
Taste
Fonterenza Bianco Le Regazze is a classic Italian macerated orange wine, but with a distinctive touch. Fruity notes stand out, especially stone fruits such as apricots and peaches, complemented by a subtle touch of honey. Despite its fruity profile, it retains that rustic, country character that many wine lovers appreciate. Its balance is impeccable, with pronounced acidity and soft tannins that make it simply stunning.
