Description
Ferrer Bobet is a red wine from the Priorat area made with the varieties Cariñena (48%), Garnacha Negra (22%), Syrah (23%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) by the Ferrer Bobet winery.
The grapes come from young vineyards planted between 2004 and 2006, located on slopes. The soil is llicorella, which is a type of slate characteristic of the area.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and collected in 10-kilogram boxes. The grapes are sorted berry by berry on a double sorting table and filled into gravity tanks.
Once in the winery, the bunches go through another selection process. The grapes are then fermented in tanks with a capacity of between 15 and 30 hectolitres. The vats are of different types: wood, stainless steel and cement.
Finally, this wine is aged in new and used French oak barrels for twelve months before bottling.
Taste
Ferrer Bobet is a red wine with fruity aromas intermingled with spicy notes. In the mouth it is tasty, lively and fluid, balsamic, structured, fruity and with ripe tannins.

Ferrer Bobet is a red wine under the Priorat D.O. which highlights the qualities of the slate soils from which it originates.
It is a wine made with great respect for the terroir where the most natural techniques possible are applied and where only the necessary intervention is made, with great respect for nature, for the Priorat and for the land itself.
In the gastronomic field, this wine is especially recommended for business lunches, dinners with friends or as a gift and as an accompaniment to pasta with meat, grilled sirloin steak and foie terrine.
